LBG Names Three Senior Associates
LBG has named Darrick Jones, Ken Kytta and Robert Rohlfs Senior Associates.
Based in LBG’s Hartford, Connecticut office, Mr. Jones is a geologist with 16 years of consulting experience in geology, hydrogeology, environmental site assessment and remediation. He is a Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) in the State of Connecticut and has performed environmental assessments across the East Coast states. His core business practice includes transaction consulting, site development related work, Connecticut Transfer Act site assessments and litigation support. In addition, he has extensive experience with underground storage tank removal and replacement, Connecticut Transfer Act filings, land use permitting, contaminated soil disposal permitting, and LEP verifications. Mr. Jones holds a B.S. degree in geology from the University of Connecticut.
Mr. Kytta is based in LBG’s Northern Michigan office. With over 20 years of experience, he has worked with both public and private industries in throughout the U.S., managing projects that cross a wide spectrum of civil/environmental disciplines, including hazardous waste investigations and cleanups, hydrogeological investigations; landfill permit and design, waste gas utilization and recovery, pipeline design, federal environmental assessments and structural design/analysis. A Professional Engineer in Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Ohio, Mr. Kytta earned a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Based in LBG’s N. Kansas City, Missouri office, Mr. Rohlfs’ experience of 20 years includes managing multiple portfolios of sites with soil and groundwater impacts from released fuels and/or other chemicals. His areas of expertise include hydrogeologic investigations, environmental reserve cost estimations, groundwater monitoring programs, testing and implementing numerous remediation technologies, applying risk-based corrective action approaches, management of insurance coverage, permit management and managing projects from initial assessment through regulatory closures. Mr. Rohlfs holds an M.S. degree in geology from Fort Hays State University and a B.S. in geology from Northwest Missouri State University. He is a Certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists, a Registered Geologist in Kansas and Missouri, and a Certified Iowa Groundwater Professional. His technical affiliations include the American Institute of Professional Geologists, where he serviced as Missouri Section President in 1997, 2002-2003 and is the current Section President-Elect; the Association of Missouri Geologists, where he has served as Treasurer since 2003; Iowa Groundwater Association; Environmental Professionals of Iowa; Missouri Groundwater Association; and Association of Ground-Water Scientists and Engineers (National Ground Water Association).
