LBG Names Three Associates01/02/2012
LBG has named Karen Benson, Paul Donovan and Jennifer Shelton Associates.
Based in the firm’s Upper Saddle River, New Jersey office, Ms. Benson’s experience includes implementation and management of groundwater supply and environmental groundwater/soil contamination projects primarily within the New York and New Jersey area. She has completed projects involving hydrogeologic investigations of aquifer and well yields for groundwater supply development and permitting; delineation of groundwater contamination, and Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) oversight for public water utilities. She also provides instruction for the NJWA in connection with groundwater continuing education programs. Ms. Benson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in geology from Hartwick College.
Mr. Donovan is located in LBG’s St. Paul, Minnesota office. He has over 17 years of environmental engineering and project management experience associated with the investigation and mitigation of environmental impact sites, including retail fuel facilities, chemical storage and transfer facilities, bulk petroleum terminals, agricultural chemical facilities, brownfield redevelopment sites, commercial and industrial properties, and residential and/or commercial properties impacted by adjacent facilities. A registered Professional Engineer in Minnesota, Mr. Donovan holds an M.S. degree in environmental engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. in environmental engineering technology from Temple University.
Based in LBG’s Madison, Wisconsin office, Ms. Shelton has extensive project management and technical experience with numerous aspects of environmental engineering. She has designed in-situ and ex-situ remediation systems for sites contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents and has implemented remedial actions involving a variety of innovative technologies. Ms. Shelton also has considerable experience in environmental permitting, including discharge permitting; stormwater pollution prevention plans; and spill
prevention, control and countermeasures plans. A registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio and Georgia, Ms. Shelton holds a B.S. degree in civil and environmental engineering from Marquette University. She is a Certified Construction Documents Technologist by the Construction Specifications Institute. Her professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers, Federation of Environmental Technologists, Solid Waste Association of North America, Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Remediation and Redevelopment Technical Focus Group.
